Far Breton

This is a typical cake from Brittany, where I grew up. It is more or less like a baked flan and its texture is similar to mochi.


Ingredients:
- 250g flour
- 150g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 4 eggs
- 1L milk
- 100g prunes (soaked in hot water for 30min) (you can use raisins instead)

(1) Mix flour and sugar. Add the eggs one by one while mixing.
(2) Warm up the milk and add to mixture gradually. Add vanilla essence.
(3) Bake for 10min in a greased dish at 180°c. Add prunes. (this helps prevent all prunes to sink to the bottom of the cake)
(4) Bake for another 30-40minutes.
